Baker, Shore & DiLorenzo started in 1990 when its founders realized that many New York State businesses were overpaying sales tax. Over the years, the firm has expanded its services and geographic reach, and has formed long-lasting relationships with our clients.  Our review assures clients that the state isn’t getting any more than its fair share.

 

Sharon Shore - Partner

Sharon is a founding partner of Baker, Shore & DiLorenzo and is a licensed attorney and CPA in Canada. She is now living and working in Florida, continuing to apply her many years of sales tax expertise to our team.

Joseph DiLorenzo - Managing Partner

Joe is a summa cum laude accounting graduate from Niagara University. Joe has been with Baker, Shore & DiLorenzo since 1995 and has held the positions of Audit Manager, Marketing Manager, and is now our Managing Partner. With years of sales tax consulting experience behind him, Joe has established professional working relationships with key members of various taxing authorities and is a convincing and effective negotiator with Auditors, Division Officers and Conciliation Conferees. Joe is also a US Navy veteran and Kona Ironman Tri-athlete.

Michael Burtch - Senior Consultant 

Mike joined Baker, Shore & DiLorenzo in 2017 and brought 8 years experience in the auditing field. Prior to joining the team, Mike began his career in law enforcement before transitioning into fraud investigations. In 2013 Mike became a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the State University of New York at Empire State College.

Jennifer Glaspey - Office Manager

Jen joined the Baker, Shore & DiLorenzo team in 2015 and has been a key contributor ever since. She brings new ideas and a different point of view to the table which has improved the efficiency of many of our processes. Jen works closely with our clients and tax authorities to ensure that the refund process is executed as efficiently as possible. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in English from The State University of New York at Buffalo.

Michele Ryan - Business Development Manager 

Michele Ryan joined the Baker, Shore & DiLorenzo team in 2020.  As a previous small business owner in New York State and a professional with more than 15 years in the automotive industry she understands the challenges businesses face to increase profitability. Michele is passionate about partnering with manufacturers to help them reach their financial goals and recovering money from New York State for our clients.  Michele has a B.A. in Psychology and Human Services from the State University of New York at Buffalo. 

William DiLorenzo - Research & Marketing Specialist 

Will is the youngest member of our team. His primary responsibilities are to research new business opportunities and manage all marketing for Baker, Shore & DiLorenzo. Prior to joining the team he was a Digital Marketing Executive with Hearst Media. Will is a member of the professional development group Alpha Kappa Psi and an Eagle Scout. He has a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing and operations from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Christine Sparks- Business Development Representative

Christine recently joined the Baker, Shore & DiLorenzo team. Christine brings over 20 years of sales and account resolution experience working with public and private companies. Her dynamic personality, excellent organizational and presentation skills keeps her motivated in her role. She is a sales goal oriented individual - when the pressure is on, she steps up to the plate.
